A portrait is about taking a moment in a persons life and preserving it as a work of art.

Commissioning a portrait is about preserving the likeness of a special person in your life. It savors a moment in time, and preserves it for all time. As a portrait artist I hope to capture the person in that moment, so that the very essence of their personality, the aura of who they are, is easily seen and remembered.

On a personal note, I am an artist. While many people have known of me as a color expert and art director, I am finally taking the leap to share my lifelong love of portraiture. I have chosen pastels as my medium because I love that the softness of the pastels does not distract from the essence of my subject. Herein I present my recent work. I hope that whether you know the subjects or not, a sense of who they are is immediately revealed and that you enjoy meeting each of these people through my work.
